Many attempt, most die while trying, the rest give up before completing the tasks required to become gods.
  • Year 2: Stalker slays Kibaen’s wife. From his tears Kibaen forges the Swords of Sorrow. Despite their name, the swords can take whatever form the wielder is proficient and desires. One is given to Death. The immortal wars begin.

The tower on the island becomes a symbol of all magic, as magical experiments of all types are performed within it’s walls. The remaining 120’ of the needle becomes a large tower. Using rituals, gates are opened below the needles and dropped into the battle creating an instant fortification. Since the winged folk can fly, they all take to the sky before the tower strikes the ground.

Mercury’s Tower is assaulted and destroyed in retaliation by several death temples that are dropped on top of the tower.
  • Year 19: The Iron Legion manages to turn the tide in the war on the winged folk. For their failures Kavarian orders Gwayne and Telthak to slay the winged folk. The race is exterminated and risen as undead minions in service of Kavarian.
